Following his parents’ divorce, a thirteen-year-old boy is transplanted from middle-class suburban London to Somerstown, where concrete towers loom, money is scarce, and the hardest on the street write the rules.

Trying to keep his head down, he adapts to his new environment, but misplaced loyalties soon pull him into choices that grown men are too afraid to make.

As tensions on the estate rise and the line between right and wrong begins to blur, he must decide how far he is willing to go to protect his friends and the girl he cannot stop thinking about.

Gritty, tender and darkly funny, SOMERSTOWN: CALL ME AL is a coming-of-age story about survival, identity, and the moment we choose who we really are.
